Nations, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Susan
Bobbi Herrera.
Bobbi, a former CEO of the Confederacy of Treaty Six, was a passionate leader who dedicated her life to the protection of Treaty rights and the advancement of First Nations. Under her leadership, the Confederacy played a pivotal role in efforts to safeguard and uphold Treaty protections for our communities. Bobbi was a fierce advocate for First Nations issues, and her influence extended well beyond our region. She not only advised multiple national chiefs on critical issues facing First Nations across the country but also represented Indigenous peoples at the international level, advocating for our rights and interests at the United Nations.
Her unwavering commitment to our people and her tireless work on behalf of First Nations will leave a lasting legacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the profound impact Bobbi had on the lives of so many.
